And yes, I do understand that in some cases, there are people who need straws. Believe me, when my Grampa was at the end of his fight with pancreatic cancer, he would not have had the ability to have any fluids in his system without the use of straws. That said, I would have been more than willing to wash out a half a dozen reusable straws every day. Reusable glass, stainless steel, bamboo… there are so many options for accessibility that also protect the ocean.
