I don’t even know what to say. I am grateful that I have a village to rescue my kiddos when I mess up.
Thank you, Danielle. Thank you, Ty. Thank you for being the adults these kids need and deserve. I can never thank you enough.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

When I try to show my family that Sadie is being a brat… she insists on proving me wrong!

Repost• @see.my.photography I love the people I meet. It’s the moments between shots that I meet clients, an honest laugh, a tender in brace, the sly smile of true love. In those moments you really see a persons true character, and this family was full of beauty.
… and then there is chat because let’s face it I’m with a baby 99% of the time and crave adult conversation.

“Having a place to go is a home. Having someone to love is a family. Having both is a blessing.” – Donna Hedges
Families are messy and beautiful and wonderful and painful and magical and fiery. Mine is no different.
15 years builds a lot of beauty and a lot of agony. And in all of that, there has been this magical thing called our family. These photos show a big, delicious piece of that magic.
For the first time since my eldest was 6, we had family photos taken at a beautiful farm across the river. Victoria at @see.my.photography did such an amazing job and there are so much to choose from. Our first photos with our Sadie Rose. Our first photos with my eldest being as tall as me. Our first photos with Liam being a grown kid.
This is our one, beautiful life, and luckily these are the people that magicked it for us.

When writing is your life’s work, reading about writing is professional development.

One of the best things about working is becoming friends with people. Not just work friends, that you enjoy at work and then when one of you leaves you never get to see anymore, but real, honest-to-goodness hold-them-in-your-heart friends.
Every job I have had has resulted in life long friends that I could not imagine not having in my life anymore. Today, one such friend, who now works for a premiere florist in Canada (@calliaflowers), sent me a stunning bouquet today. This stunning bouquet even included rosemary, which is one of my favourite scents in the whole world.
If it wasn’t for past work experience and past jobs and past lives, my life would be ever so much smaller, and ever so much less.
Thank you, Sarah. You made my heart happy today. You make my heart happy everyday, but today was especially welcome. Love you lots and can’t wait to see you at Christmas!

On December 11th, 2021, at 12 PM PST, I will be hosting a free event offering book suggestions for everyone on your list!

This is my mommy. She loves me and has loves me my entire life. I often find myself realizing that all the times I expected her to know what to do, I was expecting a lot! We don’t get training in motherhood. We follow our instincts and we love our kids and hope for the best.
I am glad that this is my mom. I’m not always good at expressing it or sharing it, but I am. I’m lucky that I have a mom who loves me and genuinely wants what’s best for me.

What do you know about Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs)?
If you are like me, until very recently, the answer might be next to nothing?
Well, NFTs are “unique and non-interchangeable data store in a ledger (blockchain)”. (Wikipedia)
They can be anything digital but usually are original pieces of digital art, or music, or gifs, etc.
You may be wondering how it can be original and unique if nearly anything digital can be copied. Think of it like a fine art painting. I can have a print of Van Gogh’s Sunflowers in a Blue Jug, or Starry Night, but you and I both know that that is not the same as owning the ORIGINAL Van Gogh. Unlike something that has been copied and pasted a zillion times across the internet, the original NFT belongs just to you, the owner of the NFT.
So the point of this post? My husband is in a contest to bring early adopters into a discord server where people can purchase, discuss, and engage with NFTs. When the new NFT drops in a little more than a week, these people will have first dibs to purchase the one of a kind piece!
Even if you do not know what the heck I am talking about, as a huge favour to me, and to my husband, please head on up to my bio and join the discord server.
In addition to the NFTs, this server is famous for being fun, positive, and encouraging. There have been members joining from all over the world saying that this is a truly unique server and regardless of the NFT, totally worth joining! (Although early access to an extremely valuable piece of digital art certainly doesn’t hurt!!!)
Please, please, please do me a huge favour and hit the link below!
