I will not remain silent, as I shall not side with the oppressor. I will also not whitesplain racism. I will, instead, use my platform to amplify the voices of those oppressed by the white heteronormative cis patriarchy.
The following posts will be reposted from sources that I respect, and learn from everyday. I hope that you will follow their pages and take the time to listen to them. I hope that you will sit with your discomfort. I hope that you will resist your urge to stammer “not ALL white women/straight men/cis people…” I urge you to look at the parts that make you uncomfortable and do the work to find out WHY this makes you uncomfortable.

My life changed dramatically when my husband was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer in 2018, and I am now a writer for a leading Canadian Cancer Non-Profit.
I am lucky enough to have a family that loves me and pushes me to be my best, even if it is outside of my cushiony comfort zone. I have a village of friends that nourish me, mentally, and spiritually.
