Holy Hannah, you guys!!! At 10:00 tonight, Ty and Danielle brought out this beautiful Butter Baked Goods cake and popped open the bubbles to celebrate 10,000 followers on Instagram!! I am so grateful, and excited, and happy, and proud, and overwhelmingly thrilled to be celebrating this milestone today!!

2 full years ago, my brother and I spoke about the goals and milestones to consider in developing KaliDesautelsReads. I had nowhere even near 1000 followers at the time, so I set myself the goal of 1000, then 2500, then 5000, with 10,000 as a crazy, way out in the distance, white whale of a goal. I am so grateful that you all have been interested and involved and have engaged with my content, and taken an interest in what I write and the books that I review and my thoughts and opinions.

As we sliced this cake, I say thank you. I look at this week and think that 2019 might just be a late bloomer and that it will turn out to be a pretty banner year for my family and friends after all. Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
