Rachel Hollis 9/11 Tribute

Repost @msrachelhollis with @get_repost

I always loved this quote and I always remember it on days like today. I will never forget –I doubt any of us who were old enough to watch the footage will– the bravery and humanity of the first-responders on 9/11. I will never forget the members of our military, police officers, paramedics and fireman who put their lives on the line that day and in the weeks (and years) that followed. I will never forget the lists of names of the men and women we lost and of the families who still mourn them all these years later. I will never forget the citizens of New York who fought their way back from tragedy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When you lose someone I think one of the hardest parts is worrying that they will be forgotten… that their life somehow meant less because they remain alive in your memory alone. So I want to take a moment to acknowledge this day, the painful reminder it is for most of us and the true devastation it is for many who knew someone personally that was lost because of the tragedy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We see you New York. We see you first responders. We see 9/11 widows. We see you gold star families. We see and acknowledge anyone who lost something on this day. You are gone but not forgotten. It’s September 11th and we will never forget. #September11 #quotes #quote #quoteoftheday #quotestagram #quotestoliveby #life #mylife #work #keepgoing #rockit #rockin #words #wordsofwisdom #love #family #blogger #blog #books #bookstagram #reading #ready #follow #liker #likeme #lfl #sfs #f4f #kalidesautelsreads #followforfollow
