First of all, yes, I read a holiday book in June. LoL I am Christmas fanatic and do not care if it is 30C outside, I will still read it.
Holidays on Ice is David Sedaris’ hilarious collection of holiday themed essays, some biographical and some fictional. From his turn as a Macy’s elf to a fictional family Holiday Letter, Sedaris covers the gamut. I thoroughly enjoyed the theatre critic attending children’s Christmas pageants, and the letter involving a wealthy couple one upping each other on holiday giving to the point of ruin. The book is short, but the humour is typical Sedaris. Definitely worth the read!
