Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

My kid is growing up so fast. They even have a girlfriend now. But days like today remind me that they are still my own wonderful Disney kid at heart. Days when they want to wear a tiara and cuddle a stuffed Olaf and sing along (quietly) to Frozen. These almost grown kids cried and laughed and got goosebumps when Elsa sang Let It Go.
I love watching Ollie grow up, but I also love seeing them still be a kid.
Thank you @marchhappiness2020 for a wonderful afternoon.

3 years of loving this little bug.
Having a dog was never in my life plan. In fact, until a few years ago, I was genuinely terrified of dogs and had no interest in them at all. I was a cat person, through and through.
It turns out, though, that part of my fear of dogs was a side effect of my extreme, untreated anxiety. I will forever be grateful to Cymbalta for helping me move past many of my fears.
It wasn’t until @dtduperron generously let me spend time with her first puppy, Charlie, in her old age that my fear of dogs melted away. Charlie was sweet, and when she licked my face, I wasn’t afraid. I felt loved. I am so grateful to Danielle for letting me spend those weekly visits with Charlie. She was a special dog.
It was because of Charlie and my medication that when my kids started saving up for a dog, I found myself excited, but also so nervous. I had never cared for a dog and I knew that they were a lot more work than cats.
But then Dave found Sadie through a rescue organization and next thing we knew, she was ours. She is silly and sweet and a wonderful addition to our family. I can’t believe it has been 3 years already. ❤️

A few years ago, a very kind woman reached out to me because of a picture I had posted on Facebook showing my oldest child in a yoga pose. She felt that my kid had what it took to dance, and she was opening a brand new studio in our town. The prices were unbelievable and the woman was friendly and clearly born to be a dance teacher.

Over the years, we have all attended classes (except for Dave) and we have all fallen in love with the dance studio and with Rachael.

My kids and their little cousins. I am so proud of how much they love to play with the little ones and I love how much Mia gets excited to see Ollie and Liam. They may have a big age difference, but I know that the love between them is real and special.

3 times a year, my organization gives us an additional paid day off on top of our paid vacation days. They call it a ME Day. Today we took advantage of Dave, the kids and me all having the day off and Ollie’s girlfriend visiting. We went up to Golden Ears and spent a little while at the beach. Of course, the sun stayed hidden, but it didn’t rain and it wasn’t too cold, so we had fun.

I found Oxygen Yoga and Fitness Maple Ridge about 6 years ago. It immediately became my happy place, helping me through my husband’s cancer journey and providing me balance as his caregiver. The instructors are kind and generous in their guidance through our yoga practice, and the FAR infrared heat soothes my stiff, sore joints that my ankylosing spondylitis inflames. I try to go at least once a week, and am always grateful for the time spent in the studio.
Tonight, I lucked out with a very small class, which resulted in one of the best classes I have attended, led by my favourite instructor, Sonja. If you are lucky enough to have an Oxygen near you, and you are nervous about hot yoga, I promise it will be worthwhile and the heat is more soothing than you imagine it to be.
This is not an ad, just a grateful client sharing my experience. ❤️
I had so much fun celebrating my brother’s 40th birthday at the @bclions_official home opener, and the super fun #50Cent concert before hand. The best part was getting to cuddle my nephew and to play with my niece. It was so fun to see people that I have known since high school and who are still friends to this day. So grateful for today ❤️
I can’t believe it’s been more than a year since we were in Disneyland to celebrate my niece’s first birthday, and Dave’s 39th birthday. It was a magical memory that I will hold dear forever.
