Guess what, ladies?? Success is not a pie!! By cheering on our friends and family, does not mean that we are left out. Even if we are not making the same advances of our sisters at this time, it does not mean that we never will. But if we fall into pettiness and snarkiness, we absolutely will find bitterness. If your friend gets a new job, a promotion, engaged, loses weight, publishes a book, gets her degree, has a baby, runs a marathon, buys new jeans, gets a coffee, takes a nap, CHEER that s**t on, y’all!!!! Smile and be proud of your girl and know that when it is your time, she will do the same. Bitterness weighs you down and breaks relationships. Empowerment makes everyone stronger.
